well the season's been disapointing so far, as I usually start of somewhat strong and then lose my head and my money by the end of it. So far I've gone 8-8 and best bets going 2-2. My ghost did post a winning lock on Monday, though. 
Last year my best bets did much better early. My perception of a few teams that I saw play during the preseason was warped, and now the lines look pretty sharp.... since no one follows my plays, I'm just posting them for fun and to track myself. Here's what I like this week:
Raiders -3 best bet
Not the strongest play in the world, but, I've got a pretty good feeling that my boys in Oaktown are going to take care of business this Sunday night. The crowd is going to be loud as f*ck, the Raiders are obviously going to have a chip on their shoulder from the Super Bowl ass-kicking they took. But the Raider's offense has been a dissapointment so far... hopefully they can get a running agame going this week, or it will be a mighty struggle to put points on the board as it was last week. Their defense looked very good, though, although yeah they were playing the anemic Bills, but still, I like their chances to keep this one close, maybe squeek out a 4 point win.
Chiefs under 47.5
Regardless of weather or not Priest is playing this week, until the Chiefs can show that they've still got that juggernaught offense from last year, I feel pretty good about betting the under on such a high total. Even with that pathetic Chiefs defense I don't see the Texans scoring that many points.
Saints +7
The Rams obviously aren't the team they used to be. 7 points just looks like too many to give to the Saints here.
Eagles -4.5
Lions are improved, but still are no match for the Eagles, even at home. Eagles by 10.
